supermassive 02 (prelude bridge) produced 2019.03.18–23 much later, dreamer-cum-Jest en route to the venue where she is scheduled to perform her breakout show. passing years have begun to instill a novel grief into her ambition, but the full extent of this is yet not known. --- i have pretty fond memories of this one—it's is one of the first ones i did, with early demos (then under the name "Pylons Textures") dating back to mid-2016. it's a rework of a loop 36 b-side. the album version's weird microtonal variation on the progression heard here was another consequence of the obsession i outlined in the 01 document (concerning that which i came to term "defootprinting," track 13's namesake), changed just before release. i think this one was a good revision. originally called "Girl in the Backseat". --------- ◼ welcome home [10].mp3 botb ohb. this was pretty archetypal to me for a while–the piercing highs, the metallic sound, etc.—i was very inspired by oval's mid-period work around this time and during the earliest stages of making supermassive this (along with pretty much everything else in this folder) is really really what i thought it was all going to sound like. ◼ 156 padonly_remaster.mp3 the original version of this is dated 2016 April 2.
