i was very particular about the drum sound on this track.  i ended up with 04 hitter.mp3, which was again changed just before release and instead used in the father's black hole remix.  originally titled "Pylons Jam".  "Ojo del Sol" is named after the 1995 architecture by Eugene Tssui, to whom track 16 is dedicated.

transit reprise is a rare example of a live guitar track (04 lead 3b.mp3) being utilized on sm for something other than scrapes and fretting sounds—i spent probably a couple hours learning how to play this 2 second loop.  sounds like i wasn't really making good enough contact with the fretboard but it works.
