supermassive 16 (awake 3) produced 2021.06.26 Jest cuts the binds confining her to the house and makes a run for the city. --- as mentioned earlier, this track is dedicated to (and samples a vocal clip from—one of the few on the album, alongside the cheers on 05, some darien pearson electronics on 19, and the amarionette screw on 20) architect Eugene Tssui, who was subject of a fascinating talk called TO LIVE WITHOUT EXCUSES in 2014, for some thematic context; the lead line in the speedcore/extratone section is a very loose interpolation of his piano piece Prelude for Elizabeth (2015). i feel that i may have oversterilized the first half of this one a little bit too much—i think the old mr oizo sounding versions (q.v. 15f+16_2.mp3; harriott ii.mp3) were a lot cooler now. --------- ◼ 16 0917 ver.mp3 version with unused bridge intended to go between the house section and outro. ◼ 15f+16_2.mp3 think this one has a lot of character. really nice fm sound. way better than the studio version
