After, Jest ultimately winds up at the location of the Red Sea, which exist[s/ed] but is now abandoned and decrepit. --- joy of the nomad i think definitely has one of the most concrete compositional histories on the album because i wrote the entire midi skeleton in 1 day and produced it on another. you get to see how it evolved; that's pretty cool. a fair amount of scraps here, all of which i abandoned in favor of that approach. used to have its track index swapped with 12. my favorite on the album? it's in really close competition with 19. i think the cd version of 19 with the remix edges it out just a little bit. speaking of 19, the two comprise the third suite! --------- ◼ No131d(MusicForSkyscrapers).mp3 some of that architectural fascination from 16 prolongs into 17; #131 in particular was written during a time when i was particularly obsessed with arcologies like Tssui's Ultima Tower, but was primarily inspired by the Millennium Tower proposal for Tokyo Bay by Norman Foster, 1989.
