this was originally going to be a power electronics track, back when supermassive was a total mess and i didn't know what i wanted to do with it.  the primary sample (the weird chromatic drone noise) is las vegas post-hardcore band amarionette's song "pretty little liar" torn completely apart with spectral dsp tools.
