latter half of this is one of the better examples of the self-referential sampling philosophy i employed throughout pretty much the entire making of the album.  originally this stemmed from the idea of a completely "original" vaporwave album in which even every sample used was built from the ground up but as the project progressed (and obviously became something very different) i think it ended up becoming pretty entwined with some of its central themes, particularly the autopoiesis of cancerous growth.
