Radiation Made Me Forget

i'm really really super excited to work on this one.  chronologically speaking, this is the absolute end of ydwd: it's about a team of parahydrographers anticipating the recurrence of a periodic maritime occultation.  more namely, it is about the 10,756-day wait preceding this recurrence.  this will be the final transit of ---- as she ascends towards the 1.  it will be visible for only a short time.  ultimately, one more object than expected is observed, with identical trajectory.

the format will be six ~30-minute aquatic-themed drone pieces with brief electric guitar-driven "transits".

this is a clip from a song i wrote in 2023 (q.v. crack_3a.mp3) about the pain of always having to return to where you came from.  i picked it for the album because of its compositional content but it of course is incredibly thematically resonant as well
